You can modify your Resumes, Job Seekers Center, Job Alert, Cover Letters, and Account Information as often as you need.

Account Profile - New
IntroductionBy filling in the fields on this page, you are filling out the information required for a My HSBC account.
 
Username PasswordAll fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required in order to complete the profile.
Username: Your Username is needed in order to log into your account. It should be something that you will easily remember in the future. It can be between 4 and 20 characters long.
To keep your account secure, we do not recommend using your email address as your Username.
Password: Your password is case-sensitive and must be between 4 and 20 characters long (you can use upper or lower case letters).
For example, if you choose a password of JOBSRCHACCT, each time you enter your password, you must type it using all capital letters.

Email AddressInformation you enter in these fields will automatically appear in any Resumes you create.
Enter the email address where you want to receive any correspondence. Provide an active and current email address. This field is required in order to make your Resume Searchable.
Note: Your email address should be a valid address.

Gender

Providing this information is required when posting a Resume or searching Jobs. If you do provide this information,

Marital StatusProviding this information is not required when posting a Resume or searching Jobs. You choose the appropriate match.
Birthday Providing this information is not required when posting a Resume or searching Jobs.
Career Level
You may choose to complete these fields at your option. If you complete this information, it will not be shared with any third party without your express consent. You will not be subjected to any adverse action or treatment if you choose not to provide this information.
Choose the level that most clearly reflects where you are in your career. As you move up in your career, you can change this information as needed. This Career Level will carry over throughout your account.
Degree/Level AttainedChoose the appropriate match (e.g. Bachelor's degree).
  • Other: have not graduated from  high school yet.
  • High School or Equivalent: Earned a high school diploma or GED (General Equivalency Diploma).
  • Intermediate:  Attended college but have not graduated or graduated from a vocational school.
  • College: Completed undergraduate studies and earned a 2-year degree at an accredited institution.
  • Bachelor: Completed undergraduate studies and earned a 4-year degree (i.e., BA, BS, etc.) at an accredited institution.
  • Post Graduate:Completed post-college graduate studies and earned a master's level degree, degree (i.e., MBA, PhD, etc.) or  professional degree (i.e., law, medical, dental, etc.) at an accredited institution.
Years of ExperienceYou may choose appropriate drop down list.

Job Search
You can search jobs by Category or by Keywords.
In case you want to search jobs upon keywords, please input the keywords you need, such as General Accountant, Administration Staff, ...etc.
You can also choose from existed list of Category Item (E.g.: Accounting, Environment/Waste Services, Human Resources , ...etc.)
If you determined your expecting location of working, you may choose appropriate drop down list.

Note: If you choose category, location of working , HSBC will display all jobs matching the criteria you chose.
If you don't choose category, province/city, HSBC will display all jobs posting.

Complete Your Resume
Click your mouse at the click here to fill out your resume link, you will be connected  to the other page, you can survey 3 resume samples. They help you fill up fully your resume.

Your resume is considered a completed resumes after you filled up all 5 steps:
    1. Headline, Objective, Desired Job
    2. Work Experience
    3. References
    4. Education
    5. Skills

After clicking Create Resume link, you will enter new page. From here you will fill up all required information and Save your Resume.

Note: You may select from 1 to 3 careers of the list by check marking in the appropriate check boxes.
Step 1: Headline, Objective, Desired Job
Career ObjectiveYou should input all required information -  fields marked with an asterisk (*).
Resume Headline is your position you wish in the future company.
In case there is any position you wish, you check mark at  edit headline check box, and input your future position
This part will be displayed at Desired Position of your resume
Desired Job, Company, LocationIt is required to input all information.

Desired job type: you are required to select at least 1 type or multi-types. This information will be filtered by employers when they search resumes.
It will be displayed at Desired Job Type of your resume.

Desired Status: you mark at check box of the status you want to work (part time or free time). This part will be displayed at Desired Status of your resume.

Desired Salary: It is not required. Default is "Negotiation". The selection will be showed in your resume at Desired Salary.

Select Target Locations:
means your desired location to work. It is require that you should select at least 1 or at the most 3. This portion is information for employers filter resumes. It will be showed at Desired Location in your resume.

Relocation: You are required to select it.  Default is "No". This part is not showed on your resume, it is just showed in case the employer search resumes. If you are willing to relocate, you click YES
Candidate InformationCareer level: It is require to input. This is your current position. You select appropriate from down list.

Degree level: You should select this field, this is your current degree.

Years of experience: It is required to select. This is your time you spent for work
Additional InformationIt is not required. You may add more your useful information such as your attendance at community activities, social , charitable organizations. This part will be showed in your resume at Additional Information
On the top of the page, it displays the careers you selected at the previous step. Click Edit link to come back previous page, career page
Step 2: Work Experience
It is not required. If you input, you should input all of fields marked with an asterisk (*) to describe your work experience.
     - You wish to add more information about your work experience, click Save and Add New.
     - In case your information is completed, you click Save.
Company NameIt is required to input, minimum character is 7. It is showed at Work Experience in your resume.
City/ State
It is required to input minimum 5 characters. It is showed at Work Experience in your resume.
PositionIt is required to input minimum 5 characters. It is showed at Work Experience in your resume.
From
It is required to choose the time of beginning. It is showed at Work Experience in your resume.
To
It is required to choose the time of the end It is showed at Work Experience in your resume.
In case you want to edit your work experience you saved before, you click Edit link of the experience.
In case you wish to erase your work experience you saved before, you click Delete link of the experience.
Step 3: References
 It is not required. If you input, you should input all of fields marked with an asterisk (*) for your future employers can know more information about your references.
     - You wish to add more information about your references, click Save and Add New.
     - In case your information is completed, you click Save

    - When you want to edit the reference you saved before, you click Edit link of the Reference.
    - When you wish to  delete the reference you saved before, you click Delete link of the reference.
 Step 4: Education
It is not required. If you input, you should input all of fields marked with an asterisk (*) for your future employers can know more information about your education.
     - You wish to add more information about your education, click Save and Add New.
     - In case your information is completed, you click Save
School/ Program NameIt is required to input minimum 7 characters. It is showed at Education in your resume
City/TownIt is required to input minimum 5 characters. It is showed at Education in your resume.
CountryIt is required to input minimum 5 characters. It is showed at Education in your resume.
Degree/Level AttainedIt is required to select the degree you gained of this program.  It is showed at Education in your resume.
Completion DateIt is required to select the date of completion. It is showed at Education in your resume.
DescriptionIt is not required. You summary your education.  It is showed at Education in your resume.
In case you want to edit your education you saved before, you click Edit link of the education.
In case you wish to erase your education you saved before, you click Delete link of the education.
Step 5: Skills
It is not required. If you input, you should input all of fields marked with an asterisk (*) for your future employers can know more information about your skills.
     - You wish to add more information about your skills, click Save and Add New.
     - In case your information is completed, you click Save
Skill NameIt is required. It is showed at Skills in your resume.
Skill LevelIt is required to select, include in Beginner, Intermediate, Expert. It is showed at Skills in your resume.
Year of ExperienceIt is required. Your experience is from 1 to 10 years.  It is showed at Skills in your resume.
Skill DescriptionIt is not required. You summary your skill.  It is showed at Skills  in your resume.
In case you want to edit your Skills you saved before, you click Edit link of this skill
In case you wish to erase your education you saved before, you click Delete link of this skill.
Note:
     - In case you fill up missing or mistake information, there rises a notice. You would like to refill up fully and exactly your information to create your resume, please!
     - During process of fill up your resume, if there rises any difficulty, you can click Helps at the top corner to be guided.
     - After that, you carry out posting your resume.
Apply online
This activity will help you apply your resume online via www.hsbcvncareer.com
 
In case you have created and posted your resume, after clicking Apply Online button, you will noticed "This is resume to apply job". Agreement is default.

You can also preview or edit your resume you have created by clicking Preview /Edit link. In case you have not created your resume, you will receive the announcement, "You have not create a resume for apply job". You click Post Your Resume link and carry out all steps of creating resume as guides above.
 
After completing apply online, you will receive the announcement from HSBC confirms that you have applied for this job.
Job Alert
IntroductionA Job Alert is an automatic Job hunter. You tell it what to look for, and it will retrieve a list of Jobs matching the criteria you entered.
THIS SERVICE IS FREE!
Creating Job AlertTo create an Agent, click Create New Job Alert at the bottom of the list of existing Agents.
You should fill in all required information and Save New Job Alert. You will receive an email from HSBC to confirm that you have created your personal Job Alert.
ViewingTo view an Alert's results, click View . The list of Jobs matching its criteria will appear. To view a particular Job in the results, click its Job Title.

Editing
Deleting

To edit an Job Alert, click Edit and modify it as needed.
To delete an Job Alert, click Delete. There is no way to retrieve a deleted Agent, so be sure that you want to delete it. You will be prompted to verify that you indeed want to delete the Job Alert.
 Cover Letters
IntroductionYou can include an optional Cover Letter with your Resume when you Apply Online. When you apply for a Job, you can choose to customize and send an existing Cover Letter or create a new one. You can create and store up to five Cover Letters.

For a more personalized response, you can create or edit a Cover Letter when you Apply Online to a Job Posting.

For hiring managers, choosing between two candidates with comparable resumes often comes down to the content of their cover letters. Though tailored letters should be written specifically for each position you're applying to, following these fundamentals can increase your chances of securing interviews.
Write the Perfect Cover LetterFirst Steps
Research before you write: The more you know about the employer's needs, the more compelling your letter can be
Determine your unique selling points: Set yourself apart. List the top five reasons why you're an excellent candidate.
Constructing the Letter
Heading/Date/Inside Address: Use a standard, business-letter format that matches your resume.
Salutation: Always address a specific person if possible; use Dear Hiring Manager if not.
Opening Paragraph: Clearly indicate the position you're applying for, how you were referred to the opportunity and why you're an excellent candidate for the job.
Body: Demonstrate how your credentials, experience and track record will benefit the hiring company.
Closing Paragraph: Provide a call to action for the hiring manager; restate you strong interest in an interview.
Complimentary Close and Signature: End with a professional close such as Best regards, Sincerely or Respectfully.

To send the Cover Letter, click Send Cover Letter link. You should input the email address of Receiver and email subject. Aftermost you still want to send, click Send, and click Delete if you want to delete.
