MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATE PROGRAMME IN VIETNAM
 

INTRODUCTION

In support of this, the Group’s Graduate Strategy aims to help provide sufficient high-calibre graduates to meet the Group’s future demand for senior executives.

 

- HSBC Vietnam business is fast growing and the demand for young executives with good sales and marketing skills is on an upward trend.  Our Management Associate Programme (MAP) develops young graduates into management potential across almost every area of our fast-growing business in Vietnam. Although most of our Management Associates will spend some time in the important role, there are many different career possibilities on offer. Here is a summary of our offer, from initial assessment and selection criteria to programme highlights and career development possibilities.

 

PROGRAMME DESIGN

 

The MAP, which runs for 24 months, has the three distinct phases.

 

Phase 1

 

Duration: 12 months
Placements:

3 – month attachment in Trade Services
3 – month attachment in Commercial Banking
3 – month attachment in Credit Risk Management

3 – month attachment in Global Markets

 

Phase 2

 

Duration: 2 months
Training:

Group Graduate Development Programme at Bricket Wood

 

Phase 3

 

Duration: 10 months
Core Placement: 4 – month attachment in Cash Management
Optional Placement:

3 – month attachment in Corporate Banking

3 – month attachment in Credit Risk Management

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

 

During the programme, the MAs will follow the standard performance management mechanism for all executives in the Bank.

 

Performance targets will be set and agreed in the beginning of each attachment. On-going performance reviews and appraisal meetings will be conducted by the line manager to whom the associate reports for the attachment.

 

Towards the end of each year, an appraisal rating will be determined and it will be used for the Variable Bonus Scheme.
